How could anything written with JP have possibly been worse than Lions though?

Ozone Mama indeed. Great take by Steve on that one.

: If people will allow my hot take on here for a moment...

: When I read the JP account from Steve, I was pretty surprised -- but I was surprised at how angry Steve was about it. And then I read the responses on here and I'm surprised again.

: I'm sure Rich and Chris were dicks to Jimmy Page when he offered to produce/write songs with them. I'm sure they were rude and handled it terribly, but honestly, I don't blame them for saying no.

: When was the last time Jimmy Page had written an impactful song? (I genuinely am curious, not trying to be snarky.)

: Was the tour with JP really as big a success as SG says? I saw the tour in northern VA at Nissan Pavilion and it was less than half full. I had lawn tickets and they moved everyone up to the 100s.

: Playing with JP gave BC a shot in the arm, made them feel like a relevant rock band again. But I actually understand how CR/RR would want to build on that momentum by doing their next thing without JP. They didn't want to be (or feel) reliant on JP.

: And also, JP walking out in the middle of a huge tour because RR and CR weren't interested in having him write/produce with them makes JP sound really arrogant and sensitive, IMO.
